Definition of Scope of Work

The work that the contractor shall perform – or cause to be performed, in accordance with the contract.
The Scope Of Work (SOW) is often defined in detail in an appendix to the contract, for example Appendix A.

This work may be divided into Work Packages (WP) often referred to as WP1, WP2 etc.

There has to be a clear and unambiguous definition of the scope of work to be able to assess whether or not change proposals are inside or outside the existing scope framework.
